Ingredients
- 1 can (21oz) apple pie filling
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup coarsely chopped nuts
- 2 tsp melted butter
Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a 13x9" baking pan with cooking spray. Mix pie filling and cinnamon, set aside.
2. Beat flour, sugar, milk, softened butter, baking powder, salt and eggs in a large bowl on low speed, scraping bowl, for 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed, scraping bowl frequently for 2 mins.
3. Pour 1/2 the batter (About 2 cups) into pan. Spoon 1/2 the pie filling mixture (about 1 cup) over the batter in the pan. Repeat with remaining batter and pie filling mixture. Drizzle with melted butter.
4. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 45-55 mins. Serve warm.
5. Optional Glaze Topping: Beat 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 1 tbsp butter, 3/4 tsp vanilla and 2-3 tsp hot water until smooth and of desired consistence.
