Ingredients
- 2 quarts water
- 2 cups diced potatoes
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 Tablespoons powdered chicken base. If you have shrimp base it is better.
- pepper to taste
- 1 lb. shrimp
- 3 ounces corn starch try 1 1/2 ounces or 2 ounces instead.
Preparation
Step 1
Boil water, add chicken base, celery, onion and potatoes.
Cook until vegetables are done.
Add (small) shrimp or chopped larger shrimp and boil once again.
Add corn starch to a little cold water and stir until desolved,then slowly stir into soup. Stir until soup thickens to desired consistancy. Add pepper to taste.
Sprinkle cilantro, green onions or parsley on top for taste and garnish.
