Hush Puppies

Ingredients

• 1 beaten egg
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1/2 cup chopped onions
• 1/4 cup water
• 1 3/4 cup cornmeal
• 1/2 cup flour
• 1 tbls sugar
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp baking soda

Preparation

Step 1

Blend first four ingredients and set aside. Blend the remaining ingredients together. Mix both together. Stir until moistened. Drop into hot oil until golden brown.
