Ingredients
- 1.75 C boiling water
- 6 oz semisweet chocolate, coarsly chopped
- 1 C unsweetened cocoa pwd
- 2 C sifted cake flour
- 2 t baking soda
- 1/4 t salt
- 10 oz unsalted butter, softened
- 1.75 C packed dark brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 t vanilla extract
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. In medium bowl, pour boiling water of the choped chocolate. Set aside for 5 min. Add the cocoa and stir until smooth. Cool to room temp. Whisk together flour, baking soda and salt. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in the vanilla. Add the flour mix and half of the chocolate mix. Beat on low for 2 min. Add the remaining chocolate mix and beat on low speed to cmbine. Pour into 2 9" pans and bake 30-40 min.
