Ingredients
- 1 12 oz pkg plus 1 cup (18 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 tbs unsalted butter, room temp.
- pinch salt
Preparation
Step 1
Place chips in a medium metal bowl. Bring cream to a boil in medium saucepan over medium heat. Pour over chips and add butter and salt. Whisk until chips are melted and frosting is smooth and spreadable. Spread on cake layers once room temp.
Makes enough for an 8" 2 layer cake.
