Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. (340 g) extra-lean ground beef
  • 1 pkg. (35 g) 40%-less-sodium taco seasoning mix
  • 1 can (19 fl oz/540 mL) no-salt-added red kidney beans, rinsed
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 small flour tortillas, cut into 1-1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 cup Kraft Tex Mex Light Shredded Cheese
  • 1/3 cup light sour cream
  • 1/3 cup chopped green onions

Preparation

Step 1

Brown meat in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat; drain.

Add next 4 ingredients; stir. Bring to boil; simmer on medium-low heat 5 min., stirring occasionally.

Stir in tortilla pieces; top with cheese. Cover. Remove from heat; let stand 5 min. or until cheese is melted. Top with sour cream and onions.

SPECIAL EXTRA

Top with your favourite Mexican-style toppings, such as shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes and/or chopped avocados, just before serving.

SERVING SUGGESTION

Serve with a mixed green salad and your favourite fresh fruit to round out the meal.
