Ingredients

  • 1/2 CUP BUTTER OR MARGARINE
  • 2 CUPS POWDERED SUGAR
  • 1-1/2 CUPS GRAHAM CRACKER CRUMBS
  • 1 CUP CREAMY PEANUT BUTTER
  • 3 PACKAGES (4 OZ) BAKER'S SEMI SWEET CHOCOLATE, BROKEN INTO PIECES, MELTED.

Preparation

Step 1

LINE 13 X 9 INCH PAN WITH FOIL, WITH ENDS EXTENDING OVER SIDES
MELT BUTTER IN LARGE MICROWAVEABLE BOWL ON HIGH 45 SECONDS. ADD NEXT 3 INGREDIENTS; MIX WELL SPREAD ONTO BOTTOM OF PREPARED PAN; COVER WITH CHOCOLATE.
CUT PARTIALLY THROUGH DESSERT TO MARK 48 SQUARES. REFRIGERATE 1 HOUR OR UNTIL FIRM. USE FOIL HANDLES TO REMOVE DESSERT FROM PAN; CUT INTO SQUARES.
TO MAKE THICKER SQUARES
PREPARE AS DIRECTED, USING A 9" SQUARE PAN AND REDUCING THE CHOCOLATE TO 2 PACKAGES (8 OZ) CUT DESSERT INTO BARS. MAKES 24 SQUARES.
TO MELT CHOCOLATE:
MICROWAVE 30 SECONDS ON HIGH; STIR. MICROWAVE 30 SECONDS MORE; STIR
CONTINUE HEATING AND STIRRING IN 10 SECOND INCREMENTS UNTIL COMPLETELY MELTED.
