VG. It's a cross between hot broth and green tea. Nice afternoon pick-me-up. It should also work well as a base for an Asian-themed soup

Ingredients
- 1 " Sliced ginger
- 1/4 cup Lapsang souchong or green tea leaves
- 3 cups water
- 3 cups organic vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon mixed peppercorns
- 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
Preparation
Step 1
1. Drop sliced ginger and peppercorns into broth and water, bring to a boil, then turn off the heat.
2. Let rest for a few minutes, then stir in tea leaves.
3. Steep for 10 minutes, stir in soy sauce then strain, first through double layer of paper towels then through a coffee filter.
These quantities yield 4 1/2 cups
