Ingredients
- 2 pounds of Hamburger
- 1/2 Onion, chopped
- 1/2 Red Pepper, chopped
- 1/2 Green Pepper, chopped
- 4 T. Chili Powder
- 1 1/4 t. Oregano
- 1/2 t. Paprika
- 1 1/2 t. Cumin
- 1 1/2 t. Salt
- 1/4 t. Red Pepper
- 1 C. Beef Broth
- 1 Can Kidney Beans, drained
- 1 Can Red Beans, drained
- 1 Can Pinto Beans, drained
- 1 (16 oz.) can Tomato Puree
- 1 (4 oz.) can Diced Green Chilis
Preparation
Step 1
Brown hamburger, onion and peppers together. Put in crockpot and add tomato puree, beef broth and spices. Then add beans thickener if needed.
Cook on low 4-6 hours
If using dry beans:
1 C. dry beans = 2 cans
Soak dry beans completely under water overnight. Drain & add new water. Cook alone for 2+ hours to soften. when using dry beans, the chili tastes best the next day.
(Eat with Cornbread or serve as a taco salad over corn chips)
