Chinese Cole Slaw

Ingredients

  • Some changes:
  • 1 10oz package mixed oriental slaw/cabbage
  • 3 green onions
  • 1 pkg ramen noodles (any flavor)
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 2 oz slivered almonds
  • 3 TBLS soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup plain white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Romaine lettuce instead of slaw
  • Red bell pepper
  • Broccili
  • Walnuts instead of almonds

Preparation

Step 1

Crunchy part - Crunch up dry ramen noodles (don't use flavor pkg). Mix together with almonds and sesame seeds. brown in a little bit of sesame oil or vegetable oil in pan on stove. Stir occasionally for even browning.

Dressing - Mix together soy sauce, oil, vinegar and sugar (can use less oil than is called for). Shake or whisk well and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Mix slaw (or romaine lettuce) and onions, red bell pepper and broccili with noodles and nuts. Toss with dressing when ready to serve.
