Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic ( 1 halved, 1 minced)
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 1 1/4 c. whole milk
- 1 c. cream
- 2 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 1/2 lbs. potatoes
- salt & pepper

Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 375
2. Run 8" square pan with garlic and then coat with butter.
3. Mix milk, cream, minced garlic, salt & pepper, nutmeg, and 2 tbsp. butter.
4. Peel and slice potatoes, add to milk, bring to a simmer, cover and cook for 3 minutes.
5. Transfer potatoes to baking dish and pour milk mixture over.
6. Cover with buttered foil and bake 40 minutes.
7. Uncover and continue baking until bubbly, about 20 minutes. Let stand before serving.
