  • 1 c water
  • 2 tablespoons of butter

Step 1

1. Make a rue with your flour and butter – make sure the flour is completely cooked should give off a nutty scent.
2. You can use 1 cup of water if you like – or ½ cup of chicken broth and ½ c of water. Stir until liquid is well combined. Simmer until thick.
