  • 4 c. sliced apples
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. water (I omit)
  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/3 c. softened butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350°. Spread apples in 8 inch pan. Mix water, cinnamon and salt, sprinkle on apples.
Work sugar, flour and soft butter in a bowl until crumbly with pastry cutter or fork and knife. Spread over apples.
Bake uncovered for 40 minutes or until top is brown.
