Stroganoff-Style Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 2 T vegetable oil
  • 1 lg onion (chopped)
  • 8 medium fresh mushrooms(sliced)
  • 1/4 C water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp flour
  • 1/2 C sour cream
  • good batch of hot cooked noodles

Step 1

Use a large skillet over medium heat. brown pork chops in oil for 5-6 minutes on each side. Remove them and keep warm. Saute onion and mushroom in the drippings until tender. Stir in the water, mustard and salt. Bring it to a boil. Return chops to pan. Reduce heat and cover them to simmer for 15-20 min or until pork is tender. Remove chops and keep warm. Combine flour and sour cream until smooth and then add to skillet. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 1-2 min or until slightly thickened. Serve pork chops and sauce with noodles.
