Snow Topped Swirled Brownie Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 c flour
  • 3/4 c cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 c (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine
  • 1 2/3 c sugar
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 2/3 c (10-oz pkg) Nestle swirled holiday morsels
  • 2 c thawed, frozen whipped topping

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in mixing bowl. Melt butter in a microwave safe bowl on High power for 1 minute. Stir until melted. Stir in sugar and water. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Gradually stir in flour mixture. Stir in 1 cup morsels. Spread into prepared pan.
Bake for 18-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Spread with whipped topping. Sprinkle remaining morsels. Refrigerate until serving time. Cut into bars.
