Ingredients
- Taco Stromboli:
- 2 cans Pillsbury Pizza Dough (Thin Crust)
- 1 lb lean ground beef or turkey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 can Rotel diced tomato & peppers (I like "original" but choose "mild" for less spicy version)
- Slices of Jalapeno Monterey Jack Cheese
- 8 oz shredded Mexican cheese
- 4 oz. pickled jalapeno slices, chopped (optional)
- sour cream
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat Oven to 400 degrees F.
1. Brown ground beef/turkey and garlic in skillet - drain. Add taco seasoning and Rotel tomatoes (with juice as as needed). Add jalapenos.
2. Roll out 1st can of dough. Lay slices of Monterey Jack cheese in center of dough (keeping edges open).
3. Spread half of ground beef mixture into thin layer over cheese. Top with half of the shredded mexican cheese.
4. Roll up dough into tight 'jelly roll'.
5. Repeat with second dough.
6. Bake in oven for 10-12 minutes or until dough is browned.
7. Slice into 1" inch slices and serve with sour cream
