Korean Scallion Pancakes (Pa Jun)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup ice cold water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 bunch scallions, halved and cut on the bias into 2-inch batons. plus more for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, such as grapeseed oil

Preparation

Step 1

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, egg, water, salt, sugar, soy sauce and scallions until just combined. Let rest in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes or overnight.
