Cabbage Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 # ground beef or turkey
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
  • 2 cans (14.5 oz. can ea.) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon greek seasoning

Preparation

Step 1

In a large pan heat olive oil.
Add meat and onions, cook until meat is no longer pink.
Add garlic and cook 1 minute longer.
Add the chopped cabbage, tomatoes, tomato sauce, pepper, greek seasoning, sea salt and water.
Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes or until cabbage is tender.
