Beer Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose floour
  • 4 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 12 oz can room temperature beer (lite beer tastes best)

Preparation

Step 1

1. Blend flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together well; add beer. Mix well by hand, spread batter in a well greased loaf pan. Spray top of batter with a little butter flavored cooking spray on top.

2. Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 40-50 mins

NOTE: can sub whole wheat flour for all purpose flour and add 1 cup shredded cheese and/or 1/4 cup other seasoning (dill, onion, etc) to batter before baking.
