Citrus Sangria

A great summer sangria starts with a medium-bodied red wine, such as Rioja or Malbec.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle (750 ml) chilled medium dry red wine, such as Rioja or Malbec
  • 2 cups chilled lime seltzer (or plain seltzer)
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 cup brandy (optional)
  • 2 lemons, sliced
  • 2 limes, sliced
  • 2 oranges, sliced

Preparation

Step 1

Cut lemons, limes and oranges into slices.

Combine in a large pitcher: wine, lime or plain seltzer, orange juice, brandy, and citrus slices.

Pour sangria into 8 tall ice-filled glasses.
