Ingredients

    eggs

  • 4

    ozs. unsweetened chocolate

  • 2 1/2

    c sugar

  • 1 3/4

    c milk

  • 1/4

    c butter

  • 1/2

    c shortening

  • 1 1/2

    tsp. vanilla

  • 3

    c sifted cake flour

  • 1 1/2

    tsp. baking soda

  • 1/2

    tsp. salt

Directions

. Beat one egg and combine with chocolate, 1c sugar and 3/4c milk in a saucepan . Cook over low heat stirring constantly until chocolate melts and mixture thickens, cool to luke warm . Cream butter, shortening, 1 1/2c sugar, add in eggs, vanilla, and dry ingredients, remaining milk and fudge mix . Divide batter evenly into three 9" greased cake pans and bake at 350 degrees until done
