Ingredients
- 5 eggs
- 4 ozs. unsweetened chocolate
- 2 1/2 c sugar
- 1 3/4 c milk
- 1/4 c butter
- 1/2 c shortening
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c sifted cake flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation
Step 1
. Beat one egg and combine with chocolate, 1c sugar and 3/4c milk in a saucepan
. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until chocolate melts and mixture thickens, cool to luke warm
. Cream butter, shortening, 1 1/2c sugar, add in eggs, vanilla, and dry ingredients, remaining milk and fudge mix
. Divide batter evenly into three 9" greased cake pans and bake at 350 degrees until done
