Chocolate Caramel Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (9 oz.) chocolate wafers, finely crushed
  • 1 1/4 sticks unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 bag (7 oz.) shredded coconut
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 24 caramel-filled Hershey's Kisses, halved

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 13x9x2" baking pan with nonstick foil.
Stir together crushed wafers and butter. Press evenly into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes. Cool slightly on wire rack.
In a large bowl, combine coconut, chocolate pieces, white chocolate pieces and pecans. Evenly distribute over cookie crust. Scatter the halved Kisses over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 18 minutes. Cool completely.
Refrigerate overnight. Cut into bars with a large knife using a gentle rocking motion.
