Ingredients
- 2 Tbs olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 lb lean ground meat
- 1 35 oz can whole peeled tomatoes with juice
- 1 6 oz can tomato paste
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper or several drops hot sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 Tbs oregano
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 Tbs red wine vinegar
Preparation
Step 1
Brown onion and garlic in the oil. Add meat and brown completely, breaking up chunks. Add the can of tomatoes, tomato paste and all the rest of the ingredients. Stir well, chopping tomatoes with spoon. Bring to boil, cover and reduce heat to simmer, cooking at least 30 minutes.
