Ingredients

    cup butter, very soft

  • 1/2

    cup sugar

  • 1

    tablespoon honey

  • 2

    large eggs

  • 1

    cup figs, chopped

  • 1/4

    cup chopped almonds

  • 2

    cups flour

  • 1/4

    teaspoon salt

  • 1/4

    teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1/4

    teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1

    tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 1/4

    tablespoon milk

  • 1

    cup raisins

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. 2. Beat butter sugar and honey until fluffy. Add eggs and beat again. 3. Stir in almonds, figs, cinnamon , nutmeg, and flour (you can use chopped nuts instead of almonds). 4. Sift in salt, baking powder, milk and raisins and beat. Turn into 9 1/2 x 5 inches loaf pan. 5. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and half or until done.
