Ingredients
- 2 pkgs (16 squares) semi-sweet baking chocolate
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 2 cups nuts (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coarsely chop 8 squares; melt over double boiler until melted and smooth. Stir in sugar, butter,eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour and baking powder. Stit in reserve chopped chocolate and nuts. Drop by 1/4 cupfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12-13 minutes or until cookies are puffed and feel set to the touch. Cool on cookie sheet 1 minute. Transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
