No Knead Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 c warm water
  • 1 1/2 TBS salt
  • 1 TBS sugar
  • 1 1/2 TBS yeast
  • 6 1/2 c flour

Preparation

Step 1

1. Take the water and pour into a resealable container.
2. Stir in salt and sugar. Then add the yeast. Stir. Let mixture sit for 5 minutes.
3. Add flour and stir until all the flour is incorporated. It will be a big sticky mass.
4. Place lid loosely on top and let the mixture sit at room temperature until it has doubled (1-2).
5. When it hits the top of the container, punch it down and seal the lid on tight.
6. Place in the fridge for 6 hours or overnight (up to 2 weeks).
7. When you are ready for a loaf of bread, grease a bread tin with some butter.
8. Preheat oven to 425'.
9. Use clean, oiled hands to pull out a chunk of dough (about 1/3 of the dough in the container).
10. Form it into a log and place it in the bread pan.
11. The rest of the dough can stay sealed in the fridge for when you want to use it.
12. Let rise until just over the edge of pan.
13. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden.
