Basic Tuna Salad

Basic Tuna Salad recipe. You can add additional ingredients to make it "special", such as grapes and or walnuts or gourmet mustards. We like ours dry. If you like it more wet add more mayonnaise.

Ingredients
- 8 ounces canned solid white Albacore tuna packed in water, drained
- 1/3 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1/3 cup finely chopped sweet pickles or cornichons
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard (fancy or plain)
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
In a small mixing bowl break up the tuna with a fork. Toss with the onion and sweet pickle. Add the mayonnaise, mustard and season with pepper, to taste. Stir to combine. Add lemon juice, to taste, if using.
