  • Thin Sauce:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • Meduim Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • Thick Sauce:
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 3 tablespoon flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in a saucepan. Blend in flour and salt. Gradually stir in milk. Cook over medium heat until thickened and mixture comes to a boil.

Makes 1 cup/250 mL.
