Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 6 baking apples, thickly sliced
- 2/3 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 slightly beaten egg
- 3 tbsp. melted butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Combine 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. Stir apples into mixture. Place in buttered baking dish.
Sift flour, baking powder, salt and 2/3 cup sugar. Combine egg, butter and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients. Beat well.
Spoon batter over apples. Batter is very stiff.
Bake at 400 deg. for 40 - 45 minutes or until apples are tender.
Serve with cream.
