Teriyaki Steak

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless steak, cut in 1/8 inch slices
  • 1/4 C soy sauce
  • 1 20 oz can unsweetened pineapple chunks, drained and 1/4 C juice reserved
  • 1 tsp finely grated gingerroot, or 1/4 ground
  • 1 T sugar
  • 2 T vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 3 T cornstarch
  • 3 T water
  • cooked rice

Preparation

Step 1

Place meat in slow cooker. IN a small bowl, combine soy sauce, reserved pineapple juice, ginger, sugar, oil, and garlic. Pour sacue mixture over meat. Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 7 hours.

Turn control to HIGH. Stir in pineapple, combine cornstarch and water in a small bowl, add to cooker. Cook, stirring, until slightly thickened. Serve over rice.
