Ingredients

  • 1 package dry brown gravy mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 pound pork or chicken strips
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Combine first five ingredients. Set aside. Brown meat in 1 tablespoon oil. Pour gravy over strips. Add onions. Stir and simmer 5 minutes. Serve over rice.

Variation: Stir in 1 - 16 ounce package thawed and drained stir-fry vegetable mixture. Cook over low heat until vegetables are tender. May also use fresh vegetables cooked tender-crisp.
