Ingredients

  • 1 5-6 lb point cut brisket
  • One package onion soup mix
  • One package onion-mushroom soup mix
  • 4 cups water
  • Garlic powder
  • Pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Buy trimmed brisket from Sam’s. Mix together the 2 soup mixes and pour over brisket, liberally apply garlic powder and pepper. Pour 4 cups of water into pan. Seal w/ foil. Bake at 325 for 3-4 hours or until meat is very fork tender. Separate meat and juices. Strain juices. Chill meat and juices separately overnite. When ready to serve, slice brisket against grain, de-fat the juices and re-warm the sliced brisket in the juices
