Ingredients
- 2 packages of white chili seasoning
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 four ounce can of chopped green chilies, drained
- 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 cans Great Northern Beans (Bush 15.8 ounce size is what I use)
- 1 can of chicken broth (14.5 ounce size)
- 1 and a half pound of ground turkey (or chicken) {can use 1.5 cups of finely chopped cooked chicken if preferred}
- Shredded Monterey jack cheese (optional)
- Sour cream (optional)
- Salsa (optional)
Preparation
Step 1
In large skillet, cook onion in oil for about 4 minutes or until transparent
Add ground turkey and cook thoroughly
Add chilies, flour and cumin, cook and stir for 2 minutes
Add beans and chicken broth and bring to boil
Add packets of chili seasoning mix and blend in well
Garnish with cheese, sour cream and salsa if desired
