Ingredients

  • 8-10 apples
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teas. salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 Table. butter, melted
  • 1 teas. baking powder
  • cinnamon and sugar

Step 1

Peel and slice apples. Put in a baking dish. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over apples - as much as suits your taste. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add egg to dry mixture and toss until crumbly. Sprinkle on top of apples. Pour melted butter over top and sprinkle with more cinnamon. Bake at 350* for 35-40 minutes until light golden brown. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
