Ingredients

  • 1 C water
  • 2 TBS chicken soup base or chicken broth
  • 1/2 C chopped celery
  • 1/2 C chopped onion
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated skim milk
  • 1/4 C all-purpose flour
  • 2 C chopped turkey or chicken breast
  • 1 C frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
  • 2 tsp poultry seasoning
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 4 sheets phyllo dough
  • Cooking Spray

Preparation

Step 1

In medium saucepan, combine water, soup base (broth), celery and onion. Bring to a boil over medium heat; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 5 minutes or until tender. Combine milk and flour; stir into boiling vegetables. Cook until thickened; stir in turkey, vegetables, poultry seasoning and pepper. Pour into pie plate. Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on top of turkey mixture; spray with cooking spray. Repeat with remaining sheets of dough. Fold or crumble edges of dough; tuck into inside of pie plate. Bate at 350 F for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
