Ingredients
- Batter
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 2 teaspoons red food coloring
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla
- 2 teaspoons white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- Topping
- 16 ounces cream cheese, soft
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
1. Place melted butter, sugar, cocoa, red food coloring, vanilla, vinegar and salt in a large mixing bowl. Blend until smooth. Add more food coloring if desired. Beat in eggs.
2. Stir in flour until batter is smooth. Spread batter into your 13 x 9 temp-tations baker.
3. For the topping, in a separate bowl beat cream cheese until light and fluffy. Blend in sugar, eggs and vanilla until smooth. Place spoonfuls of this mixture over the batter in your baker.
4. Use a butter knife to swirl the topping and batter together. Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool completely before cutting.
