Ingredients
- 1 c. whole-wheat flour
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. cornmeal
- 1/4 c. nonfat dry milk powder
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 1/2 c. beef or chicken broth
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine flours, cornmeal, dry milk, and garlic powder. Add oil and broth; stir until well blended. On a lightly floured surface, use a floured rolling pin to roll out dough to 1/2" thickness. Use a 5" long bone-shaped cookie cutter to cut out treats. Transfer to a greased baking sheet. Bake 25 to 27 minutes or until firm and bottoms are lightly browned. Transfer treats to a wire rack to cool. Store in an airtight container in a cool place.
