Ingredients
- Crust:
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons shortening
- 3-5 tablespoons water to moisten
- Filling:
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 4 cups sweetened sliced peaches
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 about 2 tablespoons butter

Preparation
Step 1
Crust:
Mix flour and salt, cut in shortening and add water. Roll out and fit into 8 x 8 pan, trimming off extra. Roll out remaining dough; cut into strips about 8" x 1"
Filling:
Mix cornstarch and brown sugar. Add peaches and cinnamon. Pour onto prepared dough. Dot with butter. Lay strips across peach filling, using about 6 strips. Sprinkle with sugar; bake at 350 degrees until golden brown. Serve with ice cream.
