Italian Meatballs Polpette

Ingredients

  • 700 g ground pork
  • 350 g Ground Veal
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup Homogenized milk
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 red onion chopped finely
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped finely
  • 1 tbsp each oregano and thyme chopped
  • 1 litre of tomato sauce.

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350c. Mix all ingredients except tomato sauce and form into balls. Place in roaster. pour sauce over balls and cover with lid or tinfoil. Bake for 1 hour.
Serve with pine nuts and grated pecorino romano cheese sprinkled on top. Serves 4-6.
