Ingredients

  • 14 oz. pkg. light caramels
  • 1/3 c. evaporated milk ?????
  • 1 pkg. choc cake mix (German Choc)
  • 1 tblsp. water
  • 3/4 c. soft butter
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 6 oz pkg choc. chips

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. grease and flour 13 x 9 combine caramels & 1/3 c. evap. milk. cook over low heat stirring constantly until caramels melt. Keep warm. Combine rest ingredients except choc. chips & nuts. Stir w/fork till crumbly but holds together. Press 1/2 mixture in pan. Bake 350 for 10 min. Sprinkle choc chips and nuts over this and caramel mixture over all put rest of dough mixture over top and bake again 15-20 min.
