San Francisco Baked Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. olive oil
  • 2 Tbs. wine vinegar
  • 1 medium onion, grated
  • 1/2 to 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbs. chopped parsley
  • 1/8 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1-2 Tbs. white wine.
  • 1 1/2 lb. sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 4 Tbs. butter
  • 1/2 c. coarse bread crumbs
  • 1 Tbs. Parmesan

Preparation

Step 1

Marinate mushrooms in first 7 ingredients for 3 hours, stirring frequently. Drain and saute in butter for 1 minute. Then reduce heat and cook for 10 minuts. Transfer to buttered baking dish and sprinkle bread crumbs and cheese over mushrooms. Broil until top is browned.
