Ingredients

  • SINGLE RECIPE**
  • 1 1/8 CUPS FLOUR
  • 1/4 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
  • 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
  • 1/2 CUP SHORTENING
  • 1/2 CUP SUGAR
  • 1/4 CUP BROWN SUGAR
  • 1 EGG
  • 1 TEASPOON VANILLA
  • 1 CUP SEMI-SWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS
  • (DOUBLE RECIPE NEXT**)
  • 2 1/4 CUPS FLOUR
  • 1/2 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
  • 1 TEASPOON SALT
  • 1 CUP SHORTENING
  • 1 CUP SUGAR
  • 1/2 CUP BROWN SUGAR
  • 2 EGGS
  • 2 TEASPOON VANILLA
  • 2 CUPS SEMI-SWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS

Preparation

Step 1

PREHEAT OVEN 350

Combine flour, baking soda, salt and set aside.

Cream shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla until smooth. Add dry ingredients until combined. Then stir in chocolate chips. Drop by table spoon on cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes until light brown. Remove from oven leaving on cookie sheet for 1 minute. Then remove to cooling rack until completely cooled. Enjoyed
