Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened (room temperature)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups unbleached flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 carton Milk Duds
  • small bowl of sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together butter and sugars. Beat until fluffy. Add peanut butter. Mix well.
Whisk the eggs. Add to peanut butter mixture. Stir until well combined.
Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add to peanut butter mixture. Mix well.
With a small cookie scoop or teaspoon, scoop cookie dough. Place a Milk Dud in the middle. Roll dough around the Milk Dud. Dip in sugar. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350° for 9-11 minutes. Cool for 3-5 minutes before removing from the pan.

To lessen the gooey caramel leakage, make sure to completely cover the candy with cookie before baking.
