Chicken with Dumplings

Ingredients

  • Stewed chicken
  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 Tbs. salad oil
  • Gravy

Preparation

Step 1

When chicken is almost tender, sift together dry ingredients. Combine millk and oil; add to dry ingredients. Stir just to moisten. Drop from tablespoon directly onto chicken in boiling stock.

Cover tightly; return to boiling. Reduce heat; simmer 12-15 minutes. Remove dumplings and chicken to platter; keep hot while preparing chicken gravy.
