Sand Art Cookies (Cookies in a jar)

Ingredients

• Jar
• 1/2 c sugar
• 1/2 c rolled oats
• 1/2 c candy-coated chocolate pieces
• 1/2 c packed brown sugar
• 1 1/4 c flour
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 c crisp rice cereal
• 1/2 c semisweet chocolate chips
• When baking
• 1 egg
• 1/2 c margarine, melted

Preparation

Step 1

In 1 quart jar, layer ingredients in the order given. Lightly pack down the jar after each addition. Attach a card with the following directions:

Empty the entire contents of jar into a medium bowl. Add 1 egg and 1/2 cup melted margarine; mix well. Form dough into 1-inch balls and bake on greased cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees.
