Ingredients

  • 1 box Duncan Hines Dark Chocolate Fudge cake mix
  • 1 1/3 c. water
  • 1/4 c. canola oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp. instant espresso powder
  • 8 oz. bittersweet chocolate
  • 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
  • 9 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
  • 9 tbsp. unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 3 c. confectioners’ sugar, sifted
  • 6 tbsp. Dutch-process cocoa powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 c. plus 2 tbsp. sour cream
  • Graham cookies and crumbs

Preparation

Step 1


Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Add all ingredients, starting with wet, to a bowl.
Mix on medium for 2.5 minutes.
Place liners in pans.
Scoop 1/4 cup batter into each liner.
Bake 12-17 minutes or until done.
For frosting, slowly melt chocolates in the microwave. Cool.
Beat cream cheese and butter on medium-high for 3-4 minutes.
Mix in confectioners’ sugar, cocoa and salt.
Beat in cooled chocolates and then sour cream.
Beat until smooth.
Frost cupcakes.
Top with cookies and crumbs.
