Yummy Brownies

I received this recipe from Good Housekeeping. It is the most popular brownie recipe. They've made low calorie and heart healthy substitutions. For variation: I would add walnuts.

Ingredients
- 1 tsp instant coffee powder or granules
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil spread
- 3 large egg whites

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 8x8 metal baking pan. Dissolve coffee in vanilla extract in a cup.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
In another bowl, whisk sugar, vegetable oil spread, egg whites and coffee mixture until well mixed; then mix in flour mixture. Spread in pan.
Bake 22 to 24 mins. or until toothpick inserted near center come out clean.
Cool completely in pan.
