This doughnut recipe is from Cooks Country from New Orleans
- 1 T y
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 T sugar
- Swirl together in a bowl and set 5 min. then add 2 T oil and 2 eggs and whisk.
- Then add 3 cups flour, 2 T sugar 3/4 tsp. salt
- Stir till dough forms put plastic over and rise 1 hour in frig.
Oil heat to 350 degree
Flour surface and put half of dough on surface and pat in a rectangle then roll
to 9 x 10 inches. Cut 12 squares and put on parchment paper that has lots of flour on it. Then fry in hot oil a few pieces at a time.
Take out and drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar.
