Ingredients

  • Cake:
  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 pkg strawberry jello
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 cup oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pkg frozen strawberries, thawed and divided
  • Frosting:
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1 stick butter or margarine, softened
  • Remaining 1/2 pkg of strawberries

Step 1

Cake:
Combine cake mix, flour, gelatin, water, oil and half the strawberries; mix slowly with electric mixer until well blended.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat 2 minutes longer at medium speed. Pour into 3 greased and floured 8 inch round cake pans. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 - 30 minutes. Cover each layer with frosting when cool.

Frosting:
Blend all ingredients together, beating until smooth.
