Ingredients

  • 1 poblano pepper, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded
  • 8 roma tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced yellow onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • Salt to taste

Step 1

Spray a skillet with cooking spray and heat it to moderate hot. Brown the poblano and jalapeno peppers, stirring until the skins have turned dark on all sides. Add tomatoes and brown hem until the skins have turned dark brown. Remove pan from heat. Put onion into hot skillet and stir. In a food processor add celery salt, oregano, cilantro, sugar, garlic salt and pepper. Add pepper mixture a little at a time; chop to medium consistency. Remove from processor and pour into hot skillet. Turn up heat; stir for 3 minutes and serve hot. Serve with chips.
